This week I was supposed to be in Edinburgh with the Infinity of Eight exhibition at Dundas Street Gallery. If you are in Edinburgh please drop by, it’s full of magic, dance, visual intrigue and wonderful art.

Alas, I could not juggle so many dishes and I am here instead helping my dear friend artist Lesley Longworth with her art/history/nature event A Portrait of a Village on the 9-10 of September here in Westbury Leigh. She has been working with the community in collaboration with local historian Lilly Monday documenting and portraying the life of many of the dwellers in this picturesque village. She has gathered an army of collaborators from the community eager to share their knowledge and expertise in different fields, from historical architecture, to the links with the army in history, to glove making and wildlife. There will be tea and cake and talks and lots of fun.

These two exhibitions definitively have bite! And it is a pleasure to be part of such vibrant projects also rekindling my own artistic practice – a tad relegated through the moving-

Sometimes big events start slowly, you feel then around but cannot out your finger. Sometimes it s a little itch, a questioning, a feeling that something is about to happen. These “seeds of revolution” are slowly growing anticipating coming roaring good times! Are we prepared for that? Or are we missing in the fun of it?

The following lines in the oracle talk about this “want of a new challenge” that we may be feeling at some point in our lives. those challenges start manifesting very clearly, but sometimes we are betrayed by our own sense of “inertia” or the fear of stepping out the so called “comfort zone”. And yet the itch continues and until we don’t react it won’t go away. What is that itch urging you to change?

The answer lies on the question below: are you having enough fun? Or a little fun? Or just fun? In the sense of wondering what is the joy we are getting from our current status and what is the joy we would like to get. You know… that feeling of waking up in the morning with a purpose, with the enthusiasm of learning something new, the anticipation of what is going to come.

Don’t wait until it is too late or you cannot bear the itch any longer. In fact the oracle is suggesting to go after your challenge while the sun shines. Go for it! Trust your instincts!

As for the CreatiBe Oracle homework this week and while the sun still shines i would suggest you to do a vision board (thanks to my neighbour Kate for the idea!) . Go and collect some images from magazines. Take your time cutting and selecting the images that call your attention. Let the flow, don’t over think and simply enjoy the process. Then try to see which ones represent what you’d like for your future? The things that excite you more? The challenges calling you?

Make a collage of such images and keep feeding and looking at the images. They will reveal the paths for you. Share your vision boards in social media with #creatiBeOracle
