This week when we are counting the days for the Easter break we may be trying to pack so many things up. It is tempting to lose the way and the zest of what we do. What the oracle calls: no satisfaction? The first part of the oracle inspires us to lead by example, meaning to find that satisfaction first for ourselves and then for our team, our colleagues, our peers or students. Lead by example encourages to find those little grains of joy in this busy week.
The last line completes the message we started at the beginning. That rethinking work, and leading y example is all about “can’t wait to inspire some…”
This practice may hold also the key for the ability to bounce back and being able to re think what is work about. This is a good question for me personally. Although I recognise we expect so much from “work”. I also distinguish between “job” and “work”, being the latter a wider field where I can bring my talents to help others and find ways to get a living. I’ve been thinking about how I can activate my powers as a creatibe oracle, making alliances, exploring new territories….and it takes me to “it’s all about design (thinking). I’ve been building my own portfolio on design thinking, using this approach to support processes of educational design, interdisciplinarity, and for tackling ill-defined problems that require imagination and ingenuity.
The final line brings us back to the idea of leading by example and find a way to inspire some. What is what “we can’t wait to inspire some…”
As for the creative oracle task this week I would like to date you to find that grain of joy that helps you to inspire others. Choose one event, meeting or encounter this week and think how are you wanting to inspire your audience or the person you are meeting. Make it into a design project, having the person/audience the centre of your intention.
